From Spider Web in 2008 to Silk Worm Cocoon 2012, we can see a continuous transformation in the artist’s mental and physical changes and her relations with the world. She feels that she lives in an invisible web. and is weaving one at the same time. They are related, reluctantly made, protective, or they need to be broken out of. The work is also representative of the web itself. “I am weaving this time to make a cocoon for the silk worm.”
From the time they spun themselves into a cocoon, they are bound in a small space till the end of life. The Double Silkworm Cocoon Dies in the name of love. The Double Silkworm Cocoon has the most beautiful and smooth silk. This piece has lasted me a while to put together. I started it since May in 2011. I raised the silkworms and turn silk into sculptures. During the process,I experimented with different materials and formats. I tried video, light installation, and silk sculpture. I use camera rocord all of what happend.
